About the Project
TypeKey Academy is an offline-first typing curriculum platform built as a desktop application suite using Electron, React 18, and SQLite, designed for school computer labs running on a local area network (LAN). It includes five modules: a Teacher/Admin app serving as the central LAN hub with Super Admin, teacher management, class controls, and progress reports; a Student app with guided typing lessons, real-time WPM and accuracy feedback, and adaptive practice; a dedicated LAN Server app with native C++ bindings for network and USB serial communication; a React + Node.js CMS for content management; and a vanilla HTML/CSS/JS marketing landing site with a live typing demo. The platform features WAL-mode SQLite for concurrent multi-PC submissions, an annual hardware-locked license system, Recharts analytics dashboards, and a built-in cloud sync engine for future remote reporting.
